2 Tragic Deaths of Filipinos in Israel are Making Headlines across the Philippines. I contrast this with more than 320,000 excess deaths in 2021 and 2022, which have not had any mention in MSM.
More than 320,000 excess deaths vs 2020 in 2021 (+43.2%) and 2022 (+9.5%) in still preliminary data. Excess deaths all start in March 2021! Across all regions of the Philippines. No outcry! No action!
Tragically, two Filipinos are confirmed dead in the Israel skirmishes. The President has vowed full support to their bereaved families. This is how it should be!
Every premature death is tragic! Every family of those prematurely lost requires support! What then of the more than 320,000 Filipinos who unexpectedly died in 2021 and 2022, in still preliminary data?
The 2021 deaths registration will rise, if they are ever completely reported. Early 2022 was election season. Officials would have been busy with election commitments rather than compiling and submitting death data. Thus, the 2021 data effective as of 31 March 2022, is surely very incomplete. Based on vaccine dosing, and excess deaths from July to September 2021, I believe that there could be close to 450,000 excess deaths in the final 2021 data! I hope I am wrong! Why was the 2021 data never updated? Will it be? PSA tells me “next year”. Highly unusual!
Where is the data for deaths in 2023? PSA is still not releasing any data. My contact in PSA has enquired why there is no 2023 data. He told me he was met with mumbles of “busy with agricultural data”…
My news feeds are currently more full of untimely deaths than at any other time in the past 3 years. 2023 could be even more deadly than 2022!
The following table summarizes the available all-cause mortality by region: 2021 as of March 2022, and 2022 as of May 2023.
Only NCR showed any considerable excess deaths in 2020, the first year of the pandemic. Region VIA and Region VII showed small excess deaths. However, all other regions showed death rates lower than 2019.
2021 showed mass increases in deaths across all regions. Excess deaths ranged from 24.7% to 60.2%! Considering that typical year on year changes in deaths are low single % points, 2021 shows astounding levels of excess mortality.
2022 all-cause mortality are lower than 2021’s excesses. However, they are still very much above 2020 death rates. Many regions are showing excess death rates above 10%, again, astoundingly poor results.
Only NCR has lower deaths in 2022 than in 2020.
I have provided a breakdown by region in the following figures. Please observe, all excess deaths started in March 2021, or later. Most regions show two distinct death spikes. Could this tally with first the rollouts to healthcare workers, frontliners and the elderly, and second to the general population rollouts?
NCR did have a spike in deaths in 2020, which may be attributed to the apparent Covid-19 outbreak in 3rd quarter, and the management protocols and responses to that outbreak! Curiously though, most other regions did not experience excess deaths. What was it about the handling of Covid-19 in the most heavily industrialized (and high population) center that made it so deadly?
Region VII, includes Cebu. This region had considerable “vaccine-hesitancy” early in the rollout. Curiously, their excess deaths only accelerated in July of 2021.
BARMM, has very concerning data, though the completeness of the data may also be queried. They had large excess deaths, compared to prior years, in 2020, 2021, and 2022!
Two Deaths in War are Counted! 320,000++ Deaths at Home are Not Commented!
There are a very few voices in the wilderness of MSM decrying the excess deaths! When will mainstream pick up this news? Are all lives important, or only some? Two deaths (and there will sadly be more) in a war count. Yet 100s of 1000s of excess deaths at home don’t? They are buried! Ignored!
When will the population speak out? Everyone already knows someone (or even many people) who has died unexpectedly! Most of the people I talk to already associate the covid-19 vaccines with the deaths and illnesses that they are observing!
When will the government act?
Sally, you continually impress me with all that you do. And while it's true that any loss of life is a tragedy, how it is that these incomprehensible number of excess deaths are not reported and publicized is beyond belief. However, when you want to cover something up this is what happens.
The sad loss of two Filipinos is being used by those that wish to stoke a global hatred of Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran (oh there are others too), and use this hatred to justify a an ethnic cleansing operation of Arabs in the Gaza Strip. The rhetoric on social media and that coming from the mouths of prominent political leaders, pundits and influencers is staggeringly shameful. But then, this is how we get into wars isn't it? Thanks for nothing criminal media. Good work Sally, forgive me for sliding off on a tangent there.
