2nd Boosters For 50 and Above, 18 and Above with Cormorbidities. Only Pfizer and Moderna Products are Approved as Boosters.

Is this about getting mRNA products into everyone? Jabs expiring a 2nd time? Will we see a rapid rise in severe covid-19 cases, and a rapid increase in adverse reactions? We will know within days!!!

DOH has approved the rollout of second boosters, effectively to 18 and above.

The authorization only covers the mRNA brands of Pfizer and Moderna.

Filipinos have taken many different brands of vaccine to date. The table below shows the relative dosing on 10th July 2022. Those who are now convinced to take a second booster now may only take Pfizer or Moderna, regardless of what their initial series was; heterologous (mixed) dosing for those who took other types previously.

To further encourage uptake of the vaccines, DOH have apparently scheduled activities to push and incentivize the delivery of vaccination to include targeted locations, and door to door delivery. The below screenshot was shared in local groups. We are working to verify DOH as the source and to ask for full details of the planned activities. Zealous officials will work very hard on delivery with such incentivization!

This is despite their Pharmacovigilance monitoring showing over 104,000 adverse reactions and 2,544 deaths (10th July report here), and despite Philhealth providing coverage for vaccine injuries.

Perhaps it is good timing that last weekend saw the official launch of PPMH-AFVI (post-pandemic Med help, assistance for vaccine injured), a group of doctors specializing in and having specifically trained to help people after vaccine injury. LINK for the following infographic HERE.

Of course, it would be far better if people were not injured in the first place. We have not seen the end of this!

Adverse reactions are dose dependent. With the mass dosing of the population with 4th dose of these vaccines, we can be sure that the outcomes will soon no longer be able to be ignored.
