I just saw an article in today’s Philippines Star. It discusses that local employers are denying employees salary for work done, purely based on vaccine status. TUCP: Unvaccinated workers not getting paid (msn.com). The article states that this action is illegal and grave coercion. Humans treating fellow humans this way is truly inhuman! Department of Labor and Employment claim they will chase up these employers and prosecute them and demand full backpay x 2 for the affected staff. I hope that this happens and at least causes thought.
Most of my colleagues, despite the company not requiring covid vaccination and saying we would fight against it, already got vaccinated. They cited community, family, and yes, work pressures. They want to travel. They considered that they will have to get it eventually, and so they might as well get it already!
I have not taken it. I am not allowed in gyms (including the one in my condominium), indoor restaurants, in some shopping centers and malls. I am hearing stories of people being denied medical care and "essential" services, based on whether they do or don't have a piece of paper. There are already rumblings that kids will be denied school access on the same basis.
This only makes me more determined to be human and to stand up for what I believe is right. Which is free choice. Also, that choice should be based on complete and unbiased information, and should never be forced; which is the complete opposite from the current on the ground situation. There is a massive coverup underway! A coverup being criminally perpetuated.
I do wonder what I would do if I was placed in the situation of no money, no access to food. Would I choose to risk possible, maybe even probable, death and permanent disability vs the chance to feed my children just for now? What would happen to them when the worst happens? I am fortunate not to be in that situation, for now. With that fortune comes the obligation to speak out and act.
Sherry Tennpenny wrote last Saturday on her telegram page that we are now in the exhale when the waters have drawn back into a huge wave…. that wave is towering and will be about to crash. It does feel like that. The pause before the pandemonium.
I see the whispers of what is to come in our Philippines news; economic contraction, unprecedented debt, gas and fuel prices rising exponentially, the TB prevention programme set back 9 years, HIV prevention and management likely similar, education set back decades and to cost billions for the economy, fertility and births (just to March of 2021) at an all-time low with 1,500 babies per day less than usual being born, with all cause mortality (just in the period of March to May 2021) showing an inexplicable excess in the range 50,000 persons, or more than 500 excess per day.
I see devastating stories in MSM and non-MSM, not just here in Philippines where our Department of Health (what an ironic misnomer) continues to declare 0 deaths from covid vaccines and none but mild transient side effects, but worldwide… unexpected deaths of young people, of older healthy people. I see friends with new illnesses. I see so very many candles on FB profiles.
All of this is not what was expected or hoped for! What have we done? What have we allowed to happen?
This will come to an end, and the world will get through it! The question is whether homosapiens will survive this as a species. I dare to suggest this is an extinction level event. I don’t see how those who planned this ever thought their planned course could work out ok, even for the chosen survivors. This belief must take a special kind of single minded blindness.
It is past the time for denial. Past the time for cognitive dissonance. Past the time for willful blindness even. The reality of what is happening is in the open already.
We must stand in power, love, and right, and fight with our tribe. We may be few, but we are growing, and we can be enough. Please step up now with me (and the rest of our tribe) to ensure we get through this now!
How? Start by speaking out at every opportunity; through this act you will find your tribe and your connections. Then nurture them. Support politicians and leaders who stand for right. If there are none, then step up yourself / support those who choose to step up.
Act with authenticity at every opportunity. Do not comply with that you do not agree with. Disagree loudly. Support others who need support, particularly in your local community. Receive support with grace! Build community parallel to the mainstream at every opportunity. Plant your gardens and share their produce. Offer your skills. Do not discriminate anyone based on their papers. Have empathy and compassion. Be human!
