We may have hit a sweet spot vaccine + natural immunity wise.. so maybe not. Time will tell. If it happens only after the election, it is likely political not medical.

Brilliant headline stating we should expect soaring cases after the Philippines May 2022 elections.
Here is how I see it:-
If we have soaring cases from superspreader they should be happening already (for the last few weeks the malls have looked like Christmas shopping and social distancing is impossible, let alone the impacts of the ongoing massive political rallies), and they aren’t happening! Daily cases for the entire Philippines are a few hundred only, and even decreasing weekon week.
We know that natural infection reigns supreme. In January and February of 2022 we had 3 weeks straight of case positivity higher than 40%, meaning every man, women, and their dog were exposed to omicron. They got sick, or they didn’t, and they came out the other end.
November and December 2021 we had massive vaccine uptake. So nearly all of those who wanted the vaccine got it. Then they got exposed to covid in Jan and Feb. So maybe scenario of vaccine and then natural boosting happened for them. They don’t “need” any booster, they are already naturally boosted.
Irrespective, natural immunity trumps and is equal to or better than short lived vaccine immunity. Those who were not vaccinated and recovered from natural covid are also likely better than fine. When are we going to recognize the superiority of natural infection?
So add vaccine and natural, plus natural only and we should be looking at a population that should largely be able to resist, at least in terms of serious illness, the next variant.
I hope that I am right and that all this fear mongering and vaccine pushing is greatly misplaced.
If not enough people were exposed to natural infection, and vaccines wear off (if they even worked somewhat for omicron, which is questionable) our next spike will likely be in April to May!
Time will tell!
First they, the IATF and OCTA, predicted April surge, now May naman. They should be made accountable for their dubious science and fear mongering. And we should all be stopping this mask nonsense.
Who thinks that the next set of “victorious” politicians, whoever they may be, will be better public health managerd? I’m not holding my breathe. The “darling” of the upper classes and pseudo-intellectual liberals has already proclaimed her admiration for the tyrant of New Zealand. This plandemic will never end, if they have their way.
They are laying the predicate to push booster take up before expiration of the vaccines they imported ... especially that madman Joey Concepcion. You are right, if "superspreader" situations are their go-to culprits there should be a spike happening already. But you see, this virus took up POLITICAL SCIENCE and strikes according to the POLITICAL CLIMATE or SEASON. And what will be their basis for declaring a spike? Watch them, will mass testing be coming from left field? On what basis? It should be based on hospitalizations. And they'll manufacture patients with the collusion of these criminal hospitals to justify mass testing? They've done it before.
