The linked presentations were given at the 9th July 2022 CDCPH Huddle. A copy of the full presentation is also linked. The presentation is annotated to be a stand alone review document.
The Philippines is experiencing an unprecedented population shift with plummeting births and soaring excess deaths. Population Statistics for 2022 have been withheld and are not being updated regularly by the government agencies responsible; due to delayed registrations it takes 4 to 5 months for population data to be complete. Even now, the middle July 2022 the PSA has still not updated 2021 population data later than February 28, 2022 (i.e. the presented data for the last quarter of 2021 is incomplete). 2022 data is not updated later than April 30, 2022, and so far only the January 2022 data may be somewhat complete.
The CDC PH are the Concerned Doctors and Citizens of the Philippines, a volunteer group of doctors and citizens that wants to help the Philippine government lift the lockdown safely through focused protection in order to save lives and restore livelihoods.
This presentation updating the covid-19 and population situation was given at their weekly huddle on 9th July 2022
Dra. Marivic Villa, President of CDC PH also presented on her experiences in dealing with vaccine injuries in her large practice. Her presentation is also very well worth watching, though it is not all in English. She is seeing and trying to treat mass injuries.
The entire presentation may be downloaded and accessed here. It will be updated once new information becomes available. Please bear in mind that this is a work in progress!
