Total 2022 (preliminary) and 2019 Deaths are Similar. Top 10 Causes of Death Are Identical. However, Big Increases in Cardiac (+17%), Diabetes (+13%) & Hypertensive Diseases (28%) Seen in 2022.

Have the Covid-19 Vaccines Contributed to the poorer health of Filipinos? Key Pharmacovigilance Reported AEFI match the increased Cause of Death Categories for cardiac & hypertensive diseases. Causal?

I compared 2022 COD Preliminary Data (Jan - Dec as of 28 Feb 2023) with 2019 COD data.

While, the 2022 numbers of death will still increase in the final compilation of late registrations, the death rates are nearly the same with only 0.3% difference. This provides an ideal opportunity to compare pre-pandemic (2019) and late pandemic (2022) causes of death.

The top 10 cases of death are identical in both 2022 and 2019, though ordering is slightly different.

Covid-19 does not feature in the top 10 causes of death in 2022. Rates of pneumonia, lower respiratory tract infections, and respiratory tuberculosis are all far lower in 2022 than they were in 2019; perhaps persons susceptible to such illnesses died in the first two Covid-19 years.

Cancer rates are also apparently considerably down (-8%) for now. Cerebrovascular discases are slightly down (-0.8%). This situation may change as further data is compiled and heading into 2023.

Worryingly though, the contributions of Ischemic Heart Disease, Hypertensive Diseases, and Diabetes have risen very considerably in 2022 compared to 2019.

Ischemic heart disease was the leading cause of death in both years, though % contribution total deaths increased by 17.1% in 2022. Diabetes mellitus increased by 13%. Rates of hypertensive disease increased by a staggering 27.9%!

What could have worsened Filipino health so badly? Could the Covid-19 Vaccination Program have played are role?

Referring to the April 2023 FDA Pharmacovigilance Reports of Suspected Adverse Reaction Following Covid-19 Vaccination and specifically to the reported suspected adverse reactions, breakdown by vaccine type (page 16 onwards).

The FDA pharmacovigilance system contains 112,507 reports of suspected adverse reactions. Of these 31,602 (28%) as summarized below, relate to cardiac and /or hypertensive symptoms.

Hypertensive and cardiac symptoms are highly represented in the reported suspected adverse reactions from the vaccines that represented 94% of all doses given. Could these Covid-19 Vaccines be responsible for the nearly 30% increase in hypertensive diseases as Death Certificate Registered cause of death?

The pharmacovigilance system is known not to capture all adverse reactions. However, it is meant to provide an early warning of priority key and concerning adverse events. Have health authorities overlooked a glaring signal of harm?

Filipinos are now dying from cardiac and hypertensive diseases at rates never observed before!
