WHO: End of Covid-19 Health Emergency on 5th May 2023! DOH & IATF: We Will Discuss Policy Implications. Philippines Experts: We Don't Believe It Is Over! We Won't Let It Be Over!
The people must not let down their guard, must not relax at all. This is not over, far from over!
On Friday 5th May 2023, more than 3 years since its’ announcement, the WHO has declared that the Covid-19 Global Health Emergency is over.
The Philippines DOH put out a response statement on Friday evening. They also announced that they would convene a meeting to discuss and determine the Philippines’ response.
DOH’s plans are reported:
DOH states that the President will endorse whatever they and the IATF come up with! Curious that these unelected bodies will determine the President’s direction!
He was listened to when he was avidly pushing vaccines. Now that he is trying to focus on the economy, his real job, the medico-political system does not want to go along! Why would they give up the power that they have seized over the past few years?
LOCAL EXPERTS DO NOT AGREE THAT THE PANDEMIC IS OVER/ STRESS THAT PANDEMIC MEASURES MUST CONTINUE!
Despite very low cases, despite no recent deaths, local experts disagree. Philippines health influencer Dr. Tony Leachon has warned Filipinos not to believe the pronouncement, to remain cautious.
Health reform advocate, Dr. Tony Leachon warned the public not to be complacent despite the announcement of the World Health Organization (WHO) that COVID-19 is no longer a global health emergency……
Leachon said the announcement should not be treated as a moment of celebration, but rather as a moment to think and reflect what needs to be pursued to prevent the spread of the virus…..
He added that wearing face mask and following minimum public standards must still be properly observed to prevent the spread of the virus…..
Leachon added that it is the right time for the government to implement the universal health care and to appoint a secretary for the Health Department.
“Para 'yung solid plan of action maayos na natin and then ma-integrate all the systems that will enable us to PREPARE FOR THE NEXT PANDEMIC,“ he added.
He stressed the importance of COVID-19 vaccines.
A surge of COVID-19 cases was also observed recently, according to Leachon.
He does reveal his real motives: pushing for Universal Health Care, pushing the bill to set up a Philippines CDC (SB1869), and that setting up a Philippines Virology Institute. DOH has been using “influencers” to promote their vaccines. It would be interesting to know just who is on the DOH payroll!
Another frequent public commentator, Dr. Solante has warned that the WHO declaration doesn’t mean the pandemic is over, and that health protocols need to stay in place.
Dr. Salvana also reminded the public not to be complacent, that the pandemic is not over!
Public Health Authorities Continue Their Campaigns. The Public Must Not Relax Our Vigilance.
The public are reminded that we must not lower our guard. Health authorities may hope to make all of their new powers permanent. That cannot be allowed to happen!
The Philippines gets special mention in this article by Sasha Latypova. She describes the vaccines as being a military-backed operation. Military = there is a war. A battle that is very much still ongoing. The actions of health officials to push their agenda irrespective of the on-the-ground situation is clear evidence of this.
The Philippines gets special mention.
