News From the Philippines: Farewell Interview with Dr. Iggy. Should Priority Bills be Rushed: Maharlika and SIM Bills Questioned? More Covid-19 Fallout Updates.
Career ending myocarditis for sharpshooter. Slapped kid's brain injury was non-traumatic in origin. Hacking hacking everywhere. Still no 2023 PSA data release!
Dearest Readers, I have been delayed in updating during the past week due to a sick dog, sick kids, school activities, busy work, and of course critically important and ongoing advocacy efforts. Be reassured that I will be keeping this substack running and you can expect at least 1 to 2 articles a week in coming months, perhaps more if there is breaking news, or I am on a roll.
Farewell tributes to Dr. Iggy Agbayani
Wonderful tribute interview with Dr. Iggy, originally aired in May 2021 with Ito Valdez and Butch Valdez (also left us this year). This is in mixed English and Tagalog! There is so much to learn from this great doctor and wonderful human.
Padlet of tributes to Dr. Iggy, organized by our legallightworkers group.
Priority Bills Pushed Through Congress without Care or Consideration of Opposing Voices May end in Wasted Efforts, Time, Money, and Embarrassment.
The Marharlika Bill was pushed through Congress at great speed and with great dedication and refusal to listed to opposition concerns. Earlier in 2023, opposition leader Pimentel had called for caution on this bill. His concerns are validated with the current suspension of the bill.
The President issued an instruction for the IRR (implementing rules and regulations) to be put on hold pending further study. However, he assures everyone that the bill will be resumed by end of the year. Time will tell! The critics are vindicated in their original calls for more study before implementation.
Concerns must also be held for the rushed and rash passage of SB1869, the Philippines CDC Bill, which is being rebranded and remarketed as National Disease Prevention Management Authority. There are many parties highly concerned about this bill! The implications and tie in with the WHO IRHS are critically concerning for national sovereignty and security. These concerns need to be treated very seriously!
Hacking Hacking Everywhere
In the face of multiple Government agencies being hacked, with clear evidence that the Philippines is not cybersecure, there was this opinion article from Ambassador Romualdez (Philippines ambassador to the US).
Solon Raoul Manuel is now calling for an end to SIM card registration, which further places the private data of Filipinos and all residents forcibly enrolled in the system, at risk. Certainly, my cell phone data has been released, as I have now received multiple calls and messages from unknown numbers asking me to reregister my BDO bank account before it is suspended (I don’t have a BDO bank account), to attempts lend me money (in exchange for a small fee), to sell me unwanted products, or offer me a job.
The reverberations of the Philhealth, government health insurance agency, hacking continue. Companies must make monthly payments to Philhealth on behalf of their employees, at risk of penalty. Transactions are currently very challenging with delays and problems in paying and posting; costing time, money, and convenience. That is even before concerns with data safety! We have changed all our access codes and passwords. Is that enough?
Philippines Statistics Authority is also reported to have been hacked.

Child Died from Non-Traumatic Brain Injury Not Teacher’s Slap
The teacher involved has been cleared in the death of her 5th grade student. The child was found to have died from a brain bleed, which is stated to be non-traumatic in origin and reported as likely due to a rare congenital condition. [Of course, we are all aware that there is another recent cause for sudden brain bleeds - that which must not be acknowledged - though the child’s status in unknown]. It is reported that the teacher may still be liable for child abuse charges.
Hospitals in the country are being overrun. Philippines General Hospital, the National’s largest public hospital, is not managing to keep up with demand. I assure PGH that their problem will only get worse.
So Many Sick Children - Are Doctors Having Regrets?
Both of my children are currently sick. Of course, they did not receive Covid-19 vaccines: I have been highly vaccine cautious for many years.
In an abundance of caution, I had a trip to the emergency room of my local hospital with one child last weekend (she is doing ok); it was quite full with sick coughing children.
A followup visit to and discussion with our pediatrician ensued. She reported that she is seeing many sick children, including those with suspected post-covid-19 jab effects. She was against the Covid-19 vaccines for children from the beginning.
She mentioned that some of her colleagues now regret having pushed the jabs on children. It is far too late for regrets now. The jab can’t be removed once it has been injected. While some of its effects may be countered, I doubt that it can be “detoxed”. How can a change to genetic expression, the incorporation of new cellular instructions, be reversed? The immune system cannot be reversed from the changes caused by the jab components encounter. These changes will be for life affecting both the recipient and any future offspring. The consequences have to be dealt with!
Speaking with individual doctors, with various professionals and even public officials, I keep hearing of vaccine injury sequelae. Why is there no widespread speaking out already? If we all speak out already about what we are seeing and hearing, then there will be no stopping the discourse, and the information flow! Maybe then, finally, there will be hope for assistance and recognition of those harmed!
Still no 2023 Vital Statistics from Philippines Statistics Authority
The FOI request submitted last 9th of September 2023, asking the schedule for the release of the 2023 vital statistics is still pending… not accepted, and unactioned, despite the government commitment that FOI should be actioned within 15 days of submission… I would have thought such a request is not unreasonable!
Waiting……. and meanwhile the deaths and injuries continue to mount1, officially unnoticed, unnoted and also unactioned!
There are daily reports of sudden deaths in my immediate networks… each day I check my social media with bated breath, wondering who next? An article on dealing with the trauma of what we are now witnessing is overdue and included in my to-write list.
