If you listen to the e tire episode, he says that he has found when mortality rates fall so do birth rates. When he started his focus was on reproductive care & he shifted to keeping people that are already living healthy. It’s helps combat poverty. I am not disagreeing with the study you presented. I’m just stating that that quote from Bill Gates is taken out of context changing the meaning of what he is saying.
I was doing IVF when we were on tbe midst of COVID. I had to make the decision of whether or not to vaccinate & it was a horrible choice. On one hand I had information I knew. Women getting COVID while pregnant were having miscarriages. We did not yet know the impact of the vaccine. This is the blessing & curse of vaccines. They are meant for the greater good & you may be the unlucky one.
I think we also have the privilege of growing up in a world where polio & measles were not ravaging our children. My grandmother was from the Appalatian Mountains & she woukd tell devastating stories of kids with polio etc.
This our privilege to wage the bad against a world given to us that is much better in this way. It’s a very multi layered topic and I do not believe there is any one right or one wrong answer. Thanks for sharing this data. It has definitely given me a lot to think about!
