New investors look at peace and stability, consistent policy, ease of business in new markets. Current tensions are antithetical to business. If diplomacy fails, the biggest loser may be Philippines.
At this point I believe one of the last organisations in which I could have any faith would be the current US administration after what they have done to Ukraine and other regions in their incessant proxy wars. I've no proof, but strongly suspect that the Daily Inquirer is a beneficiary of the National Endowment for Democracy of Soros. (As are a few solons pushing for social destruction via bills for divorce, abortion legalization.) Perhaps the Tribune is free of that money.

Filipinos are not cannon foddlers like Ukrainians. For most Filipinos, we are still nostalgic about the U.S. due to the fact Gen. Mac Arthur had returned to Philippines and kept his promise to my country to save from filthy and murderous Japanese. The U.S. is a paper tiger and it cannot even protect its own border. The U.S. or Anglo-American empire cause so much crises and wreak havoc around the world This current President Marcos is not the Marcos, Sr., which has no military experience like his father, and likely sold the country out to the highest bidder. Filipinos are like the rest of the Asians, we will never forget the atrocities that Japanese did in the WWII despite the fact it was the U.S. provoke the war due to the oil embargo. As for the China, Filipinos are passionately disputed that Spratlys are not Chinese territory but Filipino. The country firmly protested and exhausted all the diplomatic avenues for CCP and Taiwan claiming all South China Sea. Those islands belonged to the Philippines and are too far from Hainan. We do not care about Taiwan and it is China's
domestic problem and not ours. As for Japan, we will never forget Fukushima Nuclear waste atrocities contaminating our seas. Nevertheless, cool heads and rational minds must prevail in order to avert the war and for the survival of our soreign nation. I pray that Filipinos realize the dire position we are in saving many lives and preventing my country from war, famines, disaster, conquests, and meddling of the Satanist Globalist Cabal.

I believe the Marco's government is digging its self a hole and should have followed Duterte leadership concerning China.
