One example would be the Australian Federal Minister for Health & Aged Care in the lead up to, and during the course of the Covid pandemic - Mr Greg Hunt. He is now 58 years old. Wikipedia states that he “held the position of Director of Strategy at the World Economic Forum, 2000–2001.” Mr Hunt was elected to the Australian parliament in November 2001, after leaving the WEF earlier that year.
He held the Australian Federal Health ministry portfolio from 2017 onwards but retired from politics in 2022 – choosing not to stand again for parliament in the election of of that year. During his tenure as Minister for Health, Mr Hunt’s department implemented tight restrictions on the availability of two possible early treatments for Covid-19 – namely Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), and Ivermectin. Prior to that, HCQ had been freely available from pharmacists without prescription for just a few dollars and was known to be a very safe drug. The Australian Army even listed it as such on their website. I was aware of that, because I took it for many years as an antimalarial when I lived in a malaria-endemic country.
It was these sudden restrictions on both of these proven drugs that first alerted me to the fact that something was very wrong in the way this pandemic was being managed.
